Caring For Children's signature intervention to support the mental health of traumatized children is The "Teddy Trauma Reduction Project " which starts with a Bearlift of Teddy Bears to children around the world who are living in challenging circumstances. Their new friends offer them solace and the opportunity to have something to hold on to when they are lonely or afraid. This is followed by a therapeutic art project using our specially designed "Color Your Feelings" Activity Book and staff training in how to support children's emotional and mental health needs so they can have happier childhoods.
Caring for Children helps traumatized children feel better and sleep better using a teddy bear, which is more than a toy. The teddy bear is "emergency medicine" that helps migrant, refugee, homeless, and foster children feel less anxious and be able to sleep through the night without bedwetting or nightmares.
